What you'll notice
A black screen or "Video Loss" tile where the camera picture should be — on one camera or several at once.
Why it happens
Power failure at the camera (dead 12V supply or PoE port), a damaged or waterlogged cable joint, a failed camera, or a recorder channel fault.
How we fix it
We test power at the camera end, then signal at each joint, and replace the failed link — supply, joint, cable run or camera — with the fault demonstrated before and after.
