1. Remote viewing unavailable
What you'll see: The app worked for months, then "device offline" — though the system records fine locally.
Why it happens: The ISP changed your public IP or moved you behind CG-NAT, a router replacement lost the port forwards, or the P2P service needs re-binding.
How we fix it: We re-establish the correct access path for your connection type — P2P re-bind or DDNS repair — and document the setup so the next router swap does not break it again.
2. DDNS problems
What you'll see: The DDNS hostname stops resolving, or resolves to a stale address after every reconnection.
Why it happens: An expired DDNS account, the updater running on a device that was replaced, or CG-NAT making inbound connections impossible regardless of DDNS.
How we fix it: We repair or migrate the DDNS updater — or move you to P2P/VPN access where your ISP's CG-NAT makes port forwarding a dead end.
3. Slow or stuttering live view
What you'll see: Remote view buffers, drops to a slideshow, or lags many seconds behind reality.
Why it happens: Site upload bandwidth saturated by main-stream viewing, Wi-Fi backhaul on a congested band, or an overloaded router.
How we fix it: We configure sub-streams for mobile viewing, wire critical links that were coasting on Wi-Fi, and right-size the router — measured before and after.
4. IP address conflicts
What you'll see: Cameras knock each other offline, devices swap identities, faults move around the system.
Why it happens: Two devices claiming one address — typically after equipment swaps, or cameras cloned from the same config.
How we fix it: We map the network, assign a documented addressing plan with DHCP reservations, and leave the map with you at handover.
5. Weak Wi-Fi to wireless cameras
What you'll see: Wireless cameras freeze, lag or drop off — worse at range, worse when the microwave runs.
Why it happens: Distance and walls between camera and router, congestion on the 2.4GHz band, or a camera at the edge of its link budget.
How we fix it: We survey signal at each camera, add access points or point-to-point links where needed, and move cameras onto cleaner channels — or onto cable, which beats every Wi-Fi fix.
